Dennis R. Cronk is President/CEO of Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group, a full-service commercial and industrial real estate brokerage and management firm headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia. A REALTOR® for 35 years, he holds a number of professional designations representing various disciplines within the real estate profession. These designations include Certified Commercial-Investment Member (CCIM), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), and Counselor of Real Estate (CRE). As a consultant or investor, he has developed a wide range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects in addition to representing clients in the sale or lease of commercial and investment properties throughout Western Virginia. His professional service includes leadership roles with numerous organizations and industry groups, including the National Advisory Council, the National Real Estate Roundtable, the National Housing Coalition, the US-China Residential Building Council, former Chairman of the City of Roanoke Economic Development Authority, and currently serves as Chairman of the Virginia Western Community College Board.
As an internationally known speaker, Cronk has lectured on many real estate topics throughout America, Asia, and Europe. He has appeared on numerous television shows, including ABC's Good Morning America, NBC's Nightly News, and CBS and CNN networks. In the spring of 1999, Cronk served as chairman of an international trade delegation to the People's Republic of China on behalf of the National Committee on U.S. and China Relations and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The trade mission provided an opportunity for him to share his expertise in the real estate profession with the emerging Chinese real estate market. Cronk subsequently received an appointment by the President of the United States to serve as a member of the US-China Residential Building Council.
Cronk served as the 2000 President of the 1.4 million member National Association of REALTORS® and is a past president of the Virginia Associations of REALTORS® and the Virginia Real Estate Education Foundation. In 1994, he was named the state association's "REALTOR® of the Year." In 1984, Cronk served as president of the Roanoke Valley Association of REALTORS® and is the recipient of their association's "REALTOR® of the Year" award. In 2007 he was inducted into the Virginia REALTOR® Hall of Fame for his extraordinary contributions to the Commonwealth and the real estate profession.
Currently, Dennis is working vigorously to assist his clients in meeting their goals in the commercial, industrial, and investment real estate markets.
