Bill Poe is a broker and principal of Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group. He has been in the commercial real estate business for over 29 years. In that time, he has been actively involved in the sales, leasing and management of office buildings and suburban office parks. He specializes in commercial, industrial and investment sales, leasing and property management, asset management, and the location of sites throughout Western Virginia.
Bill's career began as a sales and leasing agent specializing in commercial and investment property in 1979. Within a year he was managing and leasing commercial, retail, and residential properties. He became Vice President of Property Management before forming Waldvogel, Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group, Inc., in 1987, which became Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group in 2004.
Bill's professional affiliations include membership in the National Association of REALTORS®, the Virginia Association of REALTORS®, the Roanoke Valley Association of REALTORS®, the Institute of Real Estate Management the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®, and the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute. Bill has served on the Board of Directors of the Roanoke Valley Association of REALTORS® and the Roanoke Regional Housing Network.
The REALTORS® National Marketing Institute granted the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation to Bill after he successfully completed a comprehensive educational program and demonstrated successful work experience in the commercial and investment fields. He was awarded the professional designation of GRI (Graduate of REALTORS® Institute) by the REALTORS® Institute of Virginia. Additional designations include the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS® (SIOR) and Certified Property Manager (CPM). He is a past President of the local IREM Chapter and past Chairman of the Virginia Association of REALTORS® Property Management and Leasing Committee.
Bill is a lifelong resident of the Roanoke Valley. He is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University with a BS in Business. He currently serves on the City of Roanoke Board of Zoning Appeals and is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Bill continues working with clients to lease and sell their commercial, industrial, and investment properties, as well as assisting clients in evaluating their current leases, their current and future office needs, and working with them to help meet their needs in a cost-effective manner.
