Poe & Cronk Announces Sale of Former Winn-Dixie in Rocky Mount, Virginia
Future Home for Franklin County Administrative Offices
ROANOKE, VA - July 28, 2006 - Poe & Cronk Real Estate Group today announced the sale of the former Winn Dixie to Franklin County, according to Dennis Cronk, the broker responsible for the sale. The 17 Acre site located at 1255 Franklin Road in Rocky Mount, Virginia, sold for $1.5M. According to Rick Huff, Franklin County Administrator, the County intends to renovate the former grocery store to free up more space for the sheriff's office and court facilities. The plans include moving other departments to the former 50,000 square foot Winn-Dixie building to improve parking and handicapped access. Poe & Cronk represented Capital Crossing Bank of Boston.
